  • Take advantage of benefits through UBC Human Resources Health, Wellbeing and Benefits 
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program (TELUS Health One formerly LifeWorks)
    • EFAP provides both short-term clinical counselling and work-life consultations to all eligible UBC employees and their dependent family members.
    • TELUS Health One e is available 24 hours, seven days a week, at 1-866-424-0770.
    • Access the enhanced wellbeing offering through the TELUS Health One wellbeing platform, eligible faculty and staff will need to use a Campus-Wide Login (CWL). one.telushealth.com.


  • ​Register for Coaching Services through UBC HR. 
  • Whether you seek one-one-one coaching for yourself, or wish to develop your communication skills to be more coach-like in your conversations with others, Coaching Services can support you to grow in your career. 

  • Register for a training or workshop through UBC Human Resources 
    • UBC offers a range of programs and services in support of mental health – from meditation programs to reduce stress to training sessions on how to help co-workers struggling with depression.

 

  • Thrive Month: 
    • Explore the Thrive 5, attend a Thrive event, or just be sure to take time for your mental health throughout the day (during Thrive and beyond). Take breaks for lunch, get up to stretch and move regularly, and schedule time between meetings to decompress. 
Help create a thriving workplace
  • Register your workplace for Not Myself Today. 
    • This free workplace mental health initiative helps you build greater awareness, reduce stigma, and foster safe and supportive cultures.

  • Consider becoming a Wellbeing Champion 
  • Register for Coaching Services through UBC HR. 
    • Whether you seek one-one-one coaching for yourself, or wish to develop your communication skills to be more coach-like in your conversations with others, Coaching Services can support you to grow in your career. 

  •  Learn the signs a colleague may be in distress and the steps you can take to help support them in seeking help. 

     

  • Thrive Month: 
    • Empower your staff and colleagues to take time for their mental health throughout Thrive month (and beyond!) and help reduce the stigma by talking about it. 
      • Encourage them to attend Thrive events, or host your own!
      • This year, United Way and Thrive have teamed up to offer United Way Champion Funds to projects that support social connection and giving back.
