Who Belongs Outside: A workshop on dismantling barriers BIPOC face when accessing outdoor clubs

Vancouver Campus | 5:00pm–7:00pm

The University of British Columbia’s Surf Club, Varsity Outdoors Club, and Ski and Board Club are teaming up to host an event focused on the barriers to accessing the outdoors that Black, Indigenous, and people of colour (BIPOC) face, and the role of UBC clubs in creating and maintaining these barriers. We are excited to invite Juju Milay, Jojo Das, and Jaylen Bastos to speak about their experiences in building outdoor communities in Vancouver, and the work they are doing to dismantle barriers and increase inclusivity and diversity in outdoor communities.
