Designing Courses that Promote Wellbeing

Student wellbeing is enhanced when they feel motivated to learn and confident in their learning progress. This is fostered through well-structured courses that support student success, offer flexibility, and incorporate inclusive strategies for learning both inside and outside the classroom. You could consider utilizing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and engaging in the inclusive teaching practices shared on the UDL Hub and the newly updated Faculty Orientation Guide at UBC. The practices below provide starting points for creating flexible, accessible, and engaging learning experiences for all students.
