Thriving in Different Time Zones Series: Understanding Stress and the Stress Response

Vancouver Campus | 5:00am–6:00am

Thriving in Different Time Zones Series

We acknowledge that Covid-19 has kept us apart and many of you are living and learning across the world. The Thriving in Different Time Zones Series is way for us to connect and learn about, talk about and explore ways to support our mental health. In addition to accessing various recorded Thrive sessions, UBC community members across the world can access three different live/synchronous mental health and wellbeing workshops facilitated by the Health Promotion and Education Unit. Sign up for one or all three.

Monday, November 9th 5am-6:30am PST Understanding Stress and the Stress Response

Stress is a normal part of the human experience. Everyone experiences stressful situations that can elicit a stress response; however, not all stress is bad. Learning how to respond to stressful situations in a proactive way can help you become more resilient. Understanding the stress response can help you learn how to effectively manage it.
