Substance Use & COVID-19 Dialogues
Okanagan Campus | 10:00am–11:30am
A recent study shows that, since the pandemic, young adults have increased their substance use to cope with feelings of stress. This intersection of COVID-19 and substance use has concerning consequences as shown by the skyrocketing overdose deaths in BC. Because of these concerns, Campus Health is hosting dialogues to provide an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to voice their opinion and concerns, raise questions, and share how they would like to see UBCO respond to this community crisis. Anyone who attends will be entered to win a $25 gift card of their choosing!
Dialogues will occur: November 4th at 10am PST, November 18th at 1pm PST and November 25 at 6pm PST. They will be held over zoom with the option of participating anonymously. To join, just enroll in the Wellness Centre: Online, go to ‘Modules’ and scroll down to ‘Substance Use’ where you’ll see a link for the ‘November 2020 Opioid Dialogues’.
