Smudging Ceremony
Okanagan Campus | 2:00pm–3:00pm
Smudging is the burning of certain medicines, like sage, to create a cleansing smoke bath, which is used to purify people, ritual spaces, ceremonial tools and objects.
Join Okanagan Nation Elders Eric Mitchell and Chris Marchand for a special smudge in the Aboriginal Centre (UNC 210) on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 2-3 pm.
The smell of the burning medicines are beautiful and the effects are almost instantly noticeable.
