Join us for the Culture Club at MOA, a family-friendly program held on the last Sunday of each month! Drop in and engage in meaningful art-making and intergenerational learning as you explore the captivating world of Islamic geometric art with local guest artist and geometer Farah Kalaff.

Discover the intricate patterns and shapes that have inspired mosques, palaces, and manuscripts throughout history. Learn to create your own designs using traditional techniques with tools like the compass and straightedge. This workshop is perfect for all ages, blending history, creativity, and artistic expression.

This is a drop-in program. Participation is free with museum admission, and supplies are limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Arts & Culture are fantastic ways to preserve and strengthen our community’s sense of place, build personal and cultural identity, and explore creativity. They provide so many opportunities to learn, relax, express ourselves, and connect with others. Plus, all of this has been shown to improve our mental health—while having a lot of fun!
