New Chinese Translation of the Okanagan Charter Now Available

May 1, 2024

UBC is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our community and in 2016 proudly became one of the first universities in the world to adopt the Okanagan Charter– a globally recognized framework that aims to promote health and wellbeing on higher education campuses.

In the spring of 2024, the International Health Promoting Universities & Colleges announced a new Chinese translation of the Charter now available online through UBC Library's Open Collections. With the addition of this new translation, the Charter is now accessible to millions of people, supporting the adoption of healthier and more sustainable practices in higher education institutions worldwide.
