Workshop Description:

Zoom fatigue got you down?

Based on science and reason, the following simple methods have been proven to increase one’s capacity to create happiness and decrease suffering.

Join us as we focus on the practical implementation of mindfulness meditation, rather than just a conceptual understanding. Drawing upon research and the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) model, you will discover and take part in mindfulness-based practices that promote greater connection, and resilience, even in the face of life's challenges.

Your Facilitator:

Trymaine Gaither is currently the Special Assistant to the Provost for Inclusive Excellence for Washington State University, where he works to train faculty and staff in mindfulness based anti-racism, resilience, and self-compassion. His most recent work within the Pullman community has garnered him the honor of the, 2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Service Award from Washington State University. Trymaine facilitates mindfulness retreats, racial reconciliation workshops, and mindfulness based anti-racism trainings for individuals, teams, and organizations.

Trymaine trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the Center for Mindfulness at Brown University. He is a proud Historically Black College and University (HBCU) supporter, where he attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.
