Vancouver Campus | 6:00pm–7:30pm

Dr. Evan Adams is the Chief Medical Officer at the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and is of Tla’amin First Nation ancestry. Dr. Adams will present on 'Self-Determination As We Age & Indigenous Ways of Knowing'. In his role as Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Adams provides invaluable leadership representing the FNHA as he works closely with government partners on population and public health matters that affect First Nations and all British Columbians.

Dr. Adams leads a team of FNHA physicians and health and wellness partners to BC First Nations, with a population health approach with the aim of creating a unique health care model that will be the first of its kind in Canada. He contributes to the continued transformation of health care and responds to the wellness directives provided by First Nations communities.

This public lecture is the third of the Killam Connection public lecture series, presented by the UBC School of Kinesiology.
