IBPOC perspectives on mental health and wellbeing: Heart, mind and soul

This year many members of the IBPOC community are experiencing burnout and emotional distress due to stress and structural disadvantages during these times. How do we thrive during these unprecedented times? This session will focus on IBPOC specific experiences as related to wellbeing and the challenges we face. We will then explore opportunities to engage with in order to maintain a holistic sense of wellbeing and Thrive in the face of change.

• Lynn-Marie Angus: Co-founder of Sisters Sage, an Indigenous brand that hand-crafts wellness and self-care products
• Kendra Coupland: Multi-disciplinary artist and Meditation/Yoga Teacher
• Sashah Rahemtulla: Yoga Instructor and Student Recruiter-Advisor for Enrollment Services at UBC
• Aisha Tejani: Workplace Wellbeing Associate for EFAP at UBC
