Our Thrive event will highlight the importance of sleep for nursing students’ mental well-being. Nursing students often struggle with sleep because of busy course schedules, clinical placements, and final practicums. Since sleep is closely linked to stress, coping, and burnout, supporting healthy sleep habits is essential for future nurses.
This 1-hour hybrid event will include:
- A panel of nursing faculty, Registered Nurses, and sleep health experts
- Small-group discussions to share experiences and support one another
- A guided activity to help you start building your own “Sleep Health Toolkit”
Students from both UBC Okanagan and UBC Vancouver are welcome. Participants will leave with practical strategies and resources they can use in school, clinical, and future nursing practice.
