University students today are navigating not only their academic and personal lives, but also the weight of ongoing global crises: armed conflict, climate change, systemic injustice, humanitarian emergencies, and economic precarity. These events reverberate across communities and directly impact students’ mental health, sense of belonging, and ability to thrive.
This project proposes hosting a panel discussion that brings together mental health practitioners, community organizers, student leaders, and academics to explore practical and compassionate strategies for supporting oneself and others amidst global suffering. The event will create a space for dialogue, reflection, and resource-sharing that empowers students to build resilience, practice mutual care, and engage in meaningful collective action.
