Culture Club at MOA: Threading Our Collective Narrative
Vancouver Campus | 11:00am–2:00pm
Join us on the last Sunday of each month for MOA's Culture Club, a family-friendly art program open to all ages! Drop in and enjoy meaningful art-making and intergenerational learning, facilitated by Vancouver-based printmaker and comic artist Tajliya Jamal. This workshop invites participants to explore connections between our personal and collective pasts, presents, and futures through comic-inspired drawing and storytelling.
Contribute your own story block to a larger, shared narrative or start a new thread. Whether you choose to respond to the stories of others or create something unique, Culture Club offers a space for creativity, self-expression, and connection.
How to Attend
This is a drop-in program—no registration required. Participation is free with museum admission, and supplies are limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who Can Attend
Families and individuals of all ages are welcome!
Hosted by
UBC Museum of Anthropology, with support from UBC Campus + Community Planning.
Arts & Culture are fantastic ways to preserve and strengthen our community’s sense of place, build personal and cultural identity, and explore creativity. They provide so many opportunities to learn, relax, express ourselves, and connect with others. Plus, all of this has been shown to improve our mental health—while having a lot of fun!
