ALL BODIES DANCE: In Frame

Vancouver Campus | 5:00pm–6:30pm

UBC ARTIVISM Festival: SEX + the UNHEARD with partners Kickstart Disability Arts and UBC Equity and Inclusion bring you this live online event with artists and films from All Bodies Dance Project (ABDP). The aim of ABDP is to dismantle assumptions, biases and default notions around contemporary dance, the theatre and the dancing body.

All Bodies Dance Project (ABDP) is an inclusive dance company founded in 2014. Their work brings together artists with and without disabilities to explore the endless creative possibilities in difference. The company’s work straddles labels of community-engaged and professional practice.

For this In Frame event we'll convene on Zoom to meet the panel, then watch 2 short dance films which were created recently by the company: HO.ME (9 min) and Sanctuary (5min). Afterward we'll hear from a panel of artists who work with All Bodies Dance: Harmanie Rose (dancer/choreographer), danielle wensley (audio describer), Collin Van Uchelen (consultant). Moderator: Carolina Bergonzoni.

You'll have the ability to ask questions and engage - all are welcome!

Films:
Ho Me (9 minutes)
Sanctuary (5 minutes)

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7th, 5 - 6:30PM PST

Your Zoom Link and passcode for this event will be sent to you as soon as you submit your RSVP registration HERE.

This event would not be possible without the partnership of @KickstartDisabilityArts and UBC Equity and Inclusion.
