On April 12, 2024, Matt Dolf, Director of the Office of Wellbeing Strategy at UBC, and Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost of the Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences at Symbiosis International University, co-presented at the International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM) in Vancouver. Their session in the Opening Ceremony & Plenary, titled "The Okanagan Charter: Inspiring action to support the overall wellbeing of faculty, staff, and students," explored the transformative potential of the Okanagan Charter for Health Promoting Universities in shaping the healthcare landscape in academic medicine.

This collaborative effort aimed to set the stage for impactful discussions and initiatives throughout ICAM 2024, and encouraged participants to consider the broader community impact of health promotion efforts and the potential for collaborative partnerships to drive lasting change.
