Thriving in Different Time Zones Series: How to Help a Friend
Vancouver Campus | 5:00am–6:00am
Thriving in Different Time Zones Series
We acknowledge that Covid-19 has kept us apart and many of you are living and learning across the world. The Thriving in Different Time Zones Series is way for us to connect and learn about, talk about and explore ways to support our mental health. In addition to accessing various recorded Thrive sessions, UBC community members across the world can access three different live/synchronous mental health and wellbeing workshops facilitated by the Health Promotion and Education Unit. Sign up for one or all three.
- Wednesday, November 18th 5am-6:30pm PST How to Help a Friend: Having a Supportive Conversation
Friends are often the first people you turn to when you have a problem or are worried about something and our friends are usually the first people who notice when something is off or out of the ordinary in our lives. This virtual workshop is here to help you with skills and strategies to help notice when a friend might need help and how you can have a supportive conversation.
