Applications Open June 1 for the UBC Wellbeing Strategic Initiative Fund

Applications open on June 1, 2026 for the UBC Wellbeing Strategic Initiative Fund. These funds are granted to departments and units in Vancouver and the Okanagan to support the university's commitment to the Okanagan Charter to become a health and wellbeing-promoting institution, as outlined in UBC's Wellbeing Strategic Framework.  

This year, up to $5,000 per project in funding is available to advance three special focus areas:

  • Nurturing A Strong and Vibrant UBC Community
  • Supporting Wellbeing in Classroom Environments
  • Advancing Community and Planetary Wellbeing through Health Equity

Faculty, staff, and students (with a faculty or staff sponsor) are invited to learn more and apply at the link below. Applications close July 6, 2026.
