November 18, 2025, 10:00 am to 11:00 am
Okanagan Campus
Hosted by the Palliative Care Club, Wellbeing and Accessibility Services, Human Resources, University of British Columbia Okanagan. Co-supported by the Institute for Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention, University of British Columbia, Okanagan
You are invited to participate in a webinar designed to acknowledge the value of compassion in our campus community. The experience of serious illness, caregiving roles, loss, and/or grief impact all members of a community. Inspired by the Compassionate University project at Vrije University Brussel, we will gather on Tuesday November 18, National Grief and Bereavement Day to highlight some ways in which members of the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) campus community are co-creating a compassionate campus community to build awareness and skills in offering compassion to others and to ourselves. You will learn about student-led initiatives, resources to support compassionate responses, Thrive Month events, and ways you can engage and build a compassionate campus community.
